New IP range

To meet the increasing demand for our services, we announce the use of a new IP range in our European (Swedish) data center.

The IP range from Holm Security is commonly used to whitelist the vulnerability scans, when utilizing the scanner appliances or when performing assessments using Fraud Risk Assessment.

Whitelisting is used to guarantee that communication works properly and that our scanners are not blocked when scanning your assets or sending emails to your organization.

What do I need to do as a customer?

If you have a whitelist in place for Holm Security, then you need to update the whitelist using one of the two alternatives below. Replace the current whitelist of 185.163.84.0/24 with the following IP, which is the most future proof IP range considering the size:

  • IPv4: 185.163.84.0/22
    or
  • IPv6: 2a0b:6800::/29

If you prefer to add a smaller network to your existing whitelist for 185.163.84.0/24, please add:

  • IPv4: 185.163.85.0/24

When will the new network start to be used?

The new IP network will be used starting from September 21st, 2020. We do not expect any immediate impact from this date, as we will increase our assets from this network over a period of time.

If you have any further questions, please reach out to our support at support@holmsecurity.com.
