The new Web scan engine (version 3) has been in beta for a few months. We have made several improvements from the first release, to make it ready for everyone to use as the primary Web application scan engine.
From today it will be the primary Web scan engine for all external scans. Scanner appliances will be ready to use the new version later this year.
As this new version has been improved, to identify more vulnerabilities and crawl more URLs, you can expect this to have an impact on your scan results.
